This series was issued in February 1939 to commemorate the International Automobile and Motorcycle Exhibition in Berlin, 17 February – 5 March 1939.
The stamps depict:
- 6+4 Pf — first Benz and Daimler autos
- 12+4 Pf — Auto-Union and Mercedes-Benz race cars
- 25+10 Pf — Volkswagen
These stamps were later overprinted to commemorate the 1939 Nürburgring Races.
