Imperial Germany
Germania
In 1915, Germany began issuing this set of Germania issues featuring a lozenge watermark. They are known as the “Kriegssdruck” or “war printing” to differentiate them from the 1905 Germania issues which are of the same face value and feature the same watermark, but have better quality printing, paper, and gum.
