In 1905, Germany began issuing this set of Germania issues featuring a lozenge watermark. They are known as the “Friedensdruck” or “peace printing” to differentiate them from the 1915 Germania issues which are of the same face value and feature the same watermark, but have lesser quality printing, paper, and gum.
