Austral-Japan-Linie

In late 1904 or early 1905, Norddeutscher-Lloyd resumed the Neu-Guinea-Zweiglinie, which had been discontinued in mid-1900, as the Austral-Japan-Linie. 

This line would run until the outbreak of World War I.

Postmark Information

Prior to the reintroduction of the previous Neu-Guinea-Zweiglinie cancellers, the steamer Willehad used provisional cancels on mail carried on the route.
