WWII Occupation - Serbia

Set Date(s)

15 October 1943

Centennial of the Serbian Post

This set was issued to commemorate the centennial of the Serbian Post.

The stamps were issued in sheets with 24 fields — 4 of each stamp, plus two fields with the Serbian coat of arms, and two fields with the date “15-X-1943”.

The leftmost vertical perforation is line rather than comb, leading to differing perforation varieties (“A” and “B”) of MiNr. 94 and 97 based on position within the sheet – “B” in column 1, “A” in column 2.

Numerous plate flaws exist, including these of MiNr. 95.

MiNr. 95 I (left) — MiNr. 95 (center) — MiNr. 95 II (right)
