In 1905, Kiautschou issued this set of Yacht issues switching from Pfennig/Mark currencies to Cents/Dollars.
They can be distinguished from the later 1905/1919 Yacht Issues by the use of lozenge watermarked paper on the 1905/1919 issues.
MiNr. 25 can also be found with crosshatched printing of the numeral “1”.

In 1902, the Reichsdruckerei (Reich Printing Office) began printing in the margins of stamp sheets the internal order number under which the stamps were printed. This order number, or Hausauftragsnummer (HAN), varied in location. For all issues of this set which were printed with HAN, the HAN can be found in the bottom margin.
