Ship Post

The Ship Post (“Schiffspost”) collection features stamps of the shipping lines transporting mail under special arrangements with the Deutsche Reichpost. These arrangements were usually for transportation in coastal areas and between the German Colonies.

Also shown in the collection are stamps and covers associated with the German u-boat mail, or Tauchbootbrief, of World War I.
