Trees and Landscapes

These stamps were issued beginning in July/August 1939, with color variations introduced as late as 1942.  The design of this series is similar to the Trees and Landscapes issues of March/June 1940, November/December 1940, June 1941, and July 1941/January 1942.

The stamps depict:

  • MiNr 20-24 — branch of linden tree with fruit
  • MiNr 25 — Klingenberg
  • MiNr 26 — Karlstein Castle
  • MiNr 27 — Kuttenberg
  • MiNr 28 — Prague
  • MiNr 29-30 — State Museum and Tower, Brünn
  • MiNr 31-32 — Olmütz
  • MiNr 33 — Bata Shoe Factory, Zlin
  • MiNr 34 — Industrial Plant, Mährisch-Ostrau
  • MiNr 36-37 — Karlsbrücke Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague

Numerous plate flaws exist.  Among those shown above are the following:
