9th Army Overprints

These stamps were issued for use in those portions of occupied Romania which were under the administration of the German 9th Army. This included the counties of Buzău, Brăila, Râmnicu Sărat, and portions of Putna.

The stamps were overprinted in Bucharest with a framed two-line overprint “Gütlig / 9. Armee” or “Valid / 9th Army”.
