Set Date(s)
1899
In 1899, this set of postal stationery was issued featuring a “China” overprint, in either 45° or 56° types. Unlike the stamps which feature these same overprints, the postal stationery cards are typically cataloged as a single set containing both overprint types.
These cards can be distinguished from the 1898 Overprints through minor design changes – the lack of a watermark on previously watermarked issues and the use of printing dates without letter suffixes.
