In March 1898, Germany issued the first set of overprints for use in China. The underlying stamps are German Krone / Adler Issues. The "China" overprint is at a 45° angle, as opposed to the 56° overprint of the December 1898 overprints.
Like the underlying Krone / Adler Issues, there are numerous color variants of several of the values.
The 10 Pf and 25 Pf can be found with plate flaws on the underlying stamps.
