In approximately 1905, proof printings of the 1900 Yacht Issues were printed on paper with a lozenge watermark. The 3-, 5-, and 10 Pfennig and 5 Mark proofs can be very difficult to distinguish from the subsequent 1909/1919 issues on the same watermarked paper, differing only in that the 3 Pfennig proof has normal rather than glossy gum, and all differ slightly in color.
