In 1905, Kiautschou issued this set of Yacht issues switching from Pfennig/Mark currencies to Cents/Dollars.
In January 1901, Kiautschou issued its first stamps featuring the standard German Colonies design, Kaiser Wilhelm II’s yacht, the Hohenzollern II.
On 1 May 1900, Kiautschou issued its first postage stamps, these overprints of German offices in China MiNr. 3 I (45° overprint) & 3 II (56° overprint). The stamps feature a new denomination (5 Pfg.) overprinted, and a blue line attempting to obscure the original denomination.
Shown below are the stamps of the GermanStamps.net Collection on the physical album pages.
Unlike the other German colonies, Kiautschou never used dedicated overprints of the German Krone / Adler issues. Rather, the initial Kiautschou postage was postage of the German Post Offices in China with an additional value overprint.
