The Generalgouvernement issued these stamps on 1 December 1940 for use in rural areas.
The last set of Generalgouvernement officials were issued in February 1943. They feature the eagle and swastika symbol over the outline of Krakow Castle.
The second set of Generalgouvernement officials were issued in July/August 1940.
The first set of Generalgouvernement officials were issued in April 1940.
These stamps were the first of a 10- to 17-stamp series depicting the Land and People of the area, and intended to replace the prior Hitler definitives.
