Small Coat of Arms Coils

Watermark 4

In July 1938 (MiNr 292 D x) and August 1938 (MiNr 290 D x), Danzig began issuing two values of the previous small coat of arms issues (MiNr 290, 292) in coils.  They can be differentiated from sheet versions by the syncopated perforations.

These stamps can be distinguished from prior issues of the same design by the use of a swastika watermark.

All have vertical gum rippling, and the 10 Pfennig value can also be found with horizontal gum rippling.
